WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

As an employer of more than 2,000 people and home to around 15,000 students, the University of Northampton has a major positive impact on the town – as does Northampton Town Football Club, which has been at the heart of the community for well over a century. So it is incredibly fitting both organisations enjoy such a close relationship.

While the University takes great pride in having its name on the front of the Cobblers’ shirts, there’s so much more to our partnership. The club offers our students the opportunity to enjoy work experience and internships, plus the chance for students to take over the club for a match, once a season. Two of our graduates have progressed to full-time positions with the Cobblers, while current students have the chance to play on the hallowed Sixfields turf during Varsity.

Quite simply, together we are all #proudtobe

Deborah Mattock – Director of HR, Marketing & International Relations, University of Northampton

“Working with the club is a real pleasure. They get what it is we want to achieve and always go that extra mile to ensure our partnership continues to grow. We also get a tremendous amount of pride from seeing the logo of University of Northampton firmly placed on our local club shirt.”

Matthew Joyce – Chairman, PTS Training & Apprenticeships

“Our partnership with Northampton Town Football Club has opened doors for us to a wider community in Northamptonshire, especially those who love football. Our partnership has helped us create a greater positive impact on local businesses and those looking for employment. It is a great opportunity for us to make the public aware of how we can support the local workforce by upskilling and training, enabling them to learn new skills, gain qualifications, and create better career opportunities.”

Neil Smith – Operations Director, Imperial Cars

“It’s been a pleasure working with the NTFC commercial team and supporting the club throughout the last few seasons. I cannot fault their commitment and we have benefitted significantly from this relationship so much so that we’ve increased our investment & relationship with them for the next 3 years.”

Sam Lee – Sales & Marketing Director, dbfb

“We decided to partner with NTFC and in particular sponsor their development teams as supporting youth is a value prevalent within dbfb. As a local business we want to support the club at the centre of our community but this had to deliver a return on investment. From the outset they understood our requirements and strived to ensure this was most definitely a partnership with mutual benefits. In particular, we were looking for B2B introductions and we are delighted that not only has the club delivered on this, but we have already done business with one of the club’s key partners and the initial investment was a great decision. We look forward to working more closely with NTFC over the coming years.”

Stuart Costello – Head of Marketing, Mick George Skips

“We were approached by Northampton Town Football Club to join them as a partner and were very impressed with the way they didn’t try to sell us something straight off.  They listened to what we needed to get out of the partnership before presenting ideas.  They completely hit the brief with our relationship being a fully integrated marketing led campaign which is a breath of fresh air to have this quality of service.  We are very proud to be the partner of their new and hugely popular Mick George Family Area and would definitely encourage any business looking to gain exposure and build business to get in touch with their Commercial team.”
